About San Miguel



San Miguel Island, often referred to as the "Green Island" (Ilha Verde), is the largest and most vibrant of the nine islands that make up the Azores archipelago in Portugal. What to see:

Portas da Cidade (City Gates)



Built in the 18th century, these gates mark the spot of the old city harbor and were the first line of defense of the island. a monument considered the “calling card” of Ponta Delgada.

Church of São Sebastião



This is the main church of the capital of São Migue. Its Gothic, Baroque, and Manueline details, reflecting its architectural evolution over time. Construction began in the 15th century.

Sineira Tower



Built in 1724, stands about 29.60 meters high

(to climb over 100 steps), the tower offers 360º great views of Ponta Delgada from the historic center.

Sete Cidades Lake



​One of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal, this show-stopping crate full of lakes The breathtaking panoramic views over the mystical blue and green lakes,

Boca do Inferno



Jaw-dropping 360 views overlooking the Lagoa do Canario and the other lagoons below, Sete Cidades village, and an expansive view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Vila Franca do Campo Islet



This little islet - a picturesque nature reserve located approximately 1 km off the coast, the Ilhéu de Vila Franca features a saltwater inlet created by a volcanic crater.
